My name is Christine Shultz, and it is my joy to work as both the director of the preschool and a teacher in our school’s Pre-K program.
I grew up in Whitemarsh Township and graduated from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. I attended Lafayette College, earning degrees in both English and Government. I then graduated from Washington and Lee University School of Law in Virginia. I went on to practice labor and employment law for ten years at a small firm in King of Prussia.
As much as I enjoyed the law, a huge milestone occurred in my life as I approached the ten-year mark in my career. I became a mother. I now have two children, a son (16) and a daughter (14). Entering parenthood stirred up the passions I always had for working with young children.
Around this same time, I began volunteering in the preschool component of Storehouse Church’s Kids Clubhouse program (which is like a Sunday School program). I found myself so energized, fulfilled, and delighted by this work that I enrolled in a teaching certification and masters of education program at Chestnut Hill College. I earned my teaching certification and master’s degree in education in December 2015. Both of my children had the pleasure of attending preschool at Storehouse, and it was during my daughter’s Pre-K year that I had the privilege of joining the preschool staff. I taught in the 5-day Pre-K program for eight years before taking on the dual role of director and teacher.
My hobbies include reading, hiking, and discovering great new children’s picture books to share with your children.
My faith is everything to me, and I can also be found here at Storehouse on Sunday mornings teaching the Pre-K Kids Clubhouse class.
